Our Committment to the Environment

Serenity Woods has serious comittment to our local enviorment. We use only dry seasoned wood, that most of the time other wood turners or carvers would not be able to. So we are in fact recycleing mother natures own waste. Alot of the time our wood comes from areas that have been cleared for development or have been burned. Sometimes straight from the fire wood pile! We never cut green wood nor do take our wood from the forest, it has been our pleasure to use trimmings and waste from several of our local tree service companys and the farmers of so many fruits and nuts that we have here in the northern Sacremento Valley.

We are able to do this because of the use of a clear industral grade epoxy that comes from a company whos own comittment to the Enviroment is outstanding. This epoxy is not hazardous to our land fills or enviroment. It has a very low odor and is not a toxic substance to work with or to be exposed to, and once it has cured it is basicly an inert substance the same as plastic. We do recomend however that all precautions recomended by the manufacture in the use of epoxy be followed and MSDS sheets are avalible opon request.
